TABRIZ

Tabriz, located to the north-west, is Iran’s second oldest city and is one of the oldest rug weaving centers and makes a huge diversity of types of carpets.
Tabriz is the host to some of the most beautiful rugs in the world.
The knots are fairly dense.
The foundation is normally cotton with a wool pile.
In general a Tabriz rug will be of a high standard, made with fine, soft wool.
