Carpet Valuation
Handmade rugs are long-term investments. Do you have an antique oriental or Persian rug that you want to know its exact market value? Have you inherited an exquisite rug, or you simply wish to change your home design? There are different situations that you may consider having your rugs valued. The value of a handmade rug depends on various factors such as origin, design, knot density, quality, etc.
Valuation could be used for different purposes. We can produce you valuation certificate or inspection reports or give you an oral quote on how much your rugs worth. Valuation certificates and inspection reports are formal documents, and they can be used for legal disputes. Suppose your carpets are damaged during cleaning or repairing process. In that case, you can request an inspection report, and we are able to inspect the amount of damage and remedial work needed to be repaired to their original shape. Valuation certificates are also official documents that can be used for insurance claims. If any damages happen to your rug due to a flood, fire, or other types of damage, you can use it for insurance claims if you have the right insurance policy in place.
The price for any formal documents (Valuation certificate and inspection report) is £120. However, if you use other services like repairing or cleaning you will be offered a 50% discount for these documents.
If you just want a quote, kindly bring your rugs to the store, and we will be happy to help you. In this case, we may charge you a small fee of up to £15 for giving you a quote, although we do it for free most of the time. However, if you want our experts to visit your home, we charge a call-out fee of £20 and £15 for each rug been inspected. In both cases, if you decide to order a valuation certificate, those charges would be included in your final payment.
