Varamin is one of Iran’s largest villages, located 25 miles to the south-east of Tehran. An important centre for tribal weaving, Varamin has sustained its traditions at a time where many other carpet weaving centres are changing designs to suit foreign markets. The foundation of these rugs is mostly cotton and the wool piles are soft.
Varamin rugs are often designed with mina-khani daisies, interlinked with diamond or circular patterns. Varamin rugs are excellent quality traditional rugs and will make a great addition to your home.
