Carpets from the city of Sanandaj give an elegant impression with their fine design and tasteful patterns. The pattern consists of rhombs, mir-e-buteh, or Herati. The rug is dominated by red and navy colours. The weaver uses thread in the weft and because of this, the rug gets a typical spotted backside.
